My Ramblings this morning:



I am cutting back on my birds or I should say changing direction. I love the large birds but my hubby wants to play and go boating in the summers.



In the beginning I was going to sell all of them but that's a hard thing to do.....I have been a little wishy washy........I am normaly not that way.....so for now like I said I am changing direction and will be breeding smaller birds so that I can take the babies with me. We will see how that works next spring. My kids said they would help with the Macaw babies so we will see what happens next spring I may sell my Blue and Gold macaw pair to and just stay with the small babies.

I have been looking and looking for information on bird bands. Closed versus open bands. Some open bands are wild caught bands but they are not always wild caught bands some are sexing bands and breeder also put open bands on if a baby is banded late or for adult birds for breeder records. Hi everyone here is an update on my babies. They are doing great and are now fuzzy enough to bring out and play with for longer then a minute or two:) Its hard to do with the weather cooling of we don't turn on our heater till later and the little guys get a chill real quick until they get this fuzzy little down. They have so its play time for the little guys:)
